Qualcomm has planned a major rethink of its mobile chips around artificial intelligence, the company said. In a pact aimed at gaining an edge in an increasingly intense technology battle, Samsung Electronics has agreed to put Qualcomm’s latest AI-optimized processors into its next generation of smartphones.
With AI quickly becoming an integral part of mobile technology, the new re-engineered chips from Qualcomm are said to bring about substantial improvements in on-device processing.
