Glastonbury 2025 Tickets: New Queue System and High Demand Expected

First Tickets for Glastonbury 2025 Go on Sale Today

The first opportunity to secure tickets for Glastonbury Festival 2025 opens today at 18:00 GMT with coach packages going on sale. General admission tickets will follow on Sunday, November 17, at 09:00 GMT. The festival, set to take place from June 25 to 29 at Worthy Farm, Somerset, is expected to see high demand as it will be the last event before a fallow year in 2026.

The ticket booking process this year features a new automatic queue system, designed to simplify the experience. Fans are urged to prepare by being online before sales begin.

New Queue System Changes the Ticketing Process

A significant update to the booking process introduces an automatic queue, meaning fans no longer need to refresh the page repeatedly. Instead, they will be randomly assigned a place in the queue when sales start. The system aims to streamline ticket purchases, though demand is expected to be as intense as in previous years. Fans are advised to log in early to maximize their chances of securing a ticket.

Tickets are available only to those who registered beforehand, a required step for all prospective attendees.

Coach Packages Offer First Chance to Secure Entry

Today’s ticket offering includes coach packages, providing fans a combined deal with both festival entry and coach travel. Departure locations span 28 cities across the UK, including Bath, Bristol, Swindon, and Taunton. Coach ticket buyers will pay £373.50 for the festival pass, plus a £5 booking fee and the full coach fare, ranging from £47 to £160 depending on location.

The booking deposit is set at £75 per person, and fans can reserve up to six tickets in one transaction. When booking a coach ticket, customers will pay the deposit and coach fare upfront, with the remaining balance due in early April 2025.

“Up to six tickets can be booked per transaction,” the festival’s website clarifies.

Anticipated Demand and a Fallow Year Ahead

Glastonbury, the largest greenfield music and performing arts festival globally, draws thousands of fans each year. Interest is even higher for 2025, given the upcoming fallow year in 2026. Organizers introduced the fallow year concept to allow the land and local communities time to recover, making tickets for the last festival before a break especially coveted.

Festival headliners for 2025 remain unannounced, but previous line-ups featured big names like Dua Lipa, Coldplay, and Sza. Speculation about potential headliners continues to build excitement.

“Demand is set to soar,” festival insiders predict.

A Second Chance in the Spring Resale

For those unable to secure tickets this month, there is hope. A spring resale will offer additional tickets to eager fans. This second opportunity is a tradition for Glastonbury, providing fans another chance to attend if initial demand exceeds supply.

The new queue system, organizers believe, should make the resale process smoother and fairer.

Ticket Demand Reaches New Heights

With the 2025 festival marking a final event before a break, Glastonbury tickets are expected to be harder to secure than ever. The newly implemented queue system aims to create a fairer, less stressful experience for fans. As coach packages go on sale today, excitement builds for the next chapter in Glastonbury’s storied history. Fans unable to secure tickets in November still have the spring resale to look forward to, keeping hopes alive for a chance to experience one of the world’s most famous festivals.
